Richard Graves has a farm situated between Ponoka and Westaskiwin. He was a cattle farmer and a grain farmer. It was discovered in 1992 that there were very deep, running deposits of gravel on his property. The pits that were left behind are up to 60 feet deep, with rock and gravel lining, no mud. In true farmer fashion, Richard determined that the best use for the gaping caverns was to start raising fish. Richard has put a vast amount of time, energy and resources into his first class “Happy Fish Farm”.
